    *REMINDER: you will need to be a registered voter to vote at the upcoming March school and town meetings.
    If you are a new voter, please remember to bring proof that you are 18 years of age or older on election day, a United States citizen, and domiciled in the town of Cornish.   • Recycling Notice.

    As of October 31, 2025, the Recycling Center will not be accepting leaves, limbs, or miscellaneous debris, permanently.

  • CORNISH HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT IMMEDIATE OPENING: ROAD AGENT

    The Town of Cornish, NH, is accepting applications for Road Agent.  This year-round, full-time appointed position oversees an $800,000 budget, a crew of four full-time employees, and municipal roads and bridges for the entire community.  The Town is seeking an individual with a CDL B license, knowledge of the principles and practices of public works administration, including year-round highway maintenance.  Additionally, knowledge of public works construction, materials, and equipment is a necessity.  This is an hourly position, offering pay commensurate with experience plus overtime, 80% health insurance, enrollment in New Hampshire Retirement, generous leave time, and paid holidays.  FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Reminder re: Battery Disposal.

    Please be aware that per RSA 149-M:27, no person shall dispose of any wet-cell batteries, lithium-ion batteries, or electronic devices in any solid waste landfill facility or incinerator in New Hampshire.

    Lithium, Rechargeable, Button, and Ni-Cad batteries may be recycled FREE OF CHARGE at the UVLSRPC Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.
